Wow it’s been a long time since I’ve posted here!
And what a better way to come back than with some really creepy/weird photos from our little road trip up to Rhyolite, NV!
Friday afternoon Wayne and I decided to jump in the car and head up to this strange little ghost town about 2 hours north of here. I was mainly interested in seeing the “outdoor museum” I had read about a couple months ago. I saw a photo of this artist’s very interesting rendition of The Last Supper, and I just knew I had to go take a look and get some photo of my own.
This sculpture is just so surreal. You really have to go see it for yourself some day.
Here’s the whole thing, against a gorgeous NV sunset…

And a couple close-ups…

And this had to be the absolute most surreal sculpture of them all…

Wild stuff, huh?

You may have noticed a little change to my blog — some color and the best part — BIGGER PICTURES! I’m still playing with it, but I hope you like the changes so far!
And what a better way to usher in a new look than with new pics of a GORGEOUS couple! I was so lucky to do their wedding photos last Saturday! Don’t they look like they could be models, both of them?!
And their bridal party was just as cute, trust me. I’ll be posting some pics of them later when I get some more time. Until then, enjoy a few of my favs of the new husband and wife….

Thank you both for letting me be part of your day!!!!! I had so much fun!!

I’ve never been a big fan of pies, but I must say…. This pie Wayne and I baked last night was deeeeeeeeelicious. I got it from the Betty Crocker website. It’s called a “Apple Praline Pie,” and we made the whole thing from scratch — even the crust! Can you believe it?
The first picture is right when it came out of the oven, and the 2nd is after we put the praline topping on it.
Neither of us had ever made a pie before, so we were pretty impressed with ourselves when we pulled it out of the oven and it actually looked like a real pie! And we were even more impressed that it was not only edible, but actually yummy! Yay us!
And now that we know we can actually do it, we’ll be making another one Wednesday night to bring to Thanksgiving dinner the next day!
Wow I better do about 5 hours of exercise every day for the next 4 days.
Or else find some really stretchy pants.
