James and Jessica are great friends of ours –  You may recognize them from the engagement portraits I did of them last year.

Well, they were married back in June, and since this is their very first Christmas as a Mr. & Mrs., Jessica was super excited to send out Christmas Cards from the two of them.  She asked me to do a quick photo session on the front porch of their cute little house and of course I said I’d love to!  It made me smile really big when I received a card from them in the mail the other day with a photo I took on it!  I love it!

This Ohio family was in Vegas visiting some friends a few weeks back when they saw some of my previous work and decided they wanted to try and squeeze in a quick photo session with me while they were in town.

The poor things got so lost on the day of our shoot.  The mom called me that afternoon and said they had spent all day driving through the desert in search of the Hoover Dam, and had ended up all the way up near Carson City!!

Now if that had been me, I think I would have been so frazzled and upset I would have canceled the photo session.  But not these guys!  They were so happy and upbeat and even though they weren’t dressed how they wanted to be, and they were dead tired from driving all day long, they took advantage of the few minutes of sunlight we still had left that day and posed for some fun pictures.

It just goes to show… you don’t need have the best clothes or the perfect circumstances to get some great photos your family will love.  All you need is a few minutes of time and some smiles (good attitudes always help, too!!).

I know Justin and Melissa are super excited to see the proofs from this past weekend’s bridal shoot at Red Rock, so I thought I’d throw out this little teaser for them while I finish up processing their last few images.

So dramatic… I love it!

I’m still recovering from my turkey and stuffing hangover, but I wanted to take a minute to post the second half of Kelsey’s Senior Session.  She chose this cute little suit dress as her more ‘formal’ outfit and I think it worked so great with Town Square as her backdrop.

I’m busy working on Kelsey’s photo book, but I couldn’t wait any longer to share some of my favorites from last weekend’s session with her.  I just love them!  As you probably read before, Kelsey is my senior rep at Centennial High School here in Vegas, and as you can see… she is gorgeous with a capital G.

She actually brought 2 outfits to our shoot — one dressy and one more casual.  And since I love so many pictures from the shoot I thought I’d divide this into two posts and share some of the more casual ones first.
